Today has been a relaxing and encouraging day. I spent my day at home with my little girl who was full of giggles and delight. I love these days with her.
I got a call from my brother that he and his wife will be going to the hospital tonight for the first stages of induction to labor. She's 41 weeks and 1 day now. It's finally happening and I've prayed for her all day.
My dear friend Trisha is more progressed and now has had her membranes ruptured. It shouldn't be much longer. I slept with the phone by my bed and an overnight bag packed just in case we got a late night call to come watch her little girl while she went to the hospital. No call...yet.
All of these things are encouraging and uplifting. The idea of new lives being welcomed into loving homes. Knowing the parents will soon experience joys similar to those that our own daughter has brought into our own lives. There just aren't any words to describe this joy. Thank you God!
And as if to end the day with bit of perfection, my daughter came to me and said, "Mommy, pooh-pooh in potty." I put her on her potty and no, she didn't pooh, but she did something great. She went pee-pee for the very first time in her potty!!!
It's been a great day. What has been your greatest joy today?

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I thought I'd return one on yours. I like your blog, the colors are great. How exciting for you that your daughter is potty training. We tried with our son when he showed a little interest but that didn't last long. Wish you all the best with it!
